Beeston Businesses Large and Small - Maureen Rushton

91 members braved a cold evening to hear Maureen’s illustrated talk on Beeston Businesses  Large and Small. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed a nostalgic trip through the businesses on the High Road, Station Road and Wollaton Road and including Humber Cycles, Boots and Ericsson’s Telephones. There was mention of Pearson’s nursery and how it developed into the Beeston Boiler Company, the Pearson family, of course, living in the White House on Town Street for many years.
